The ProDrive Upgrade Turbine Improves Cutting Power and Durability of Leading Brand Handpieces.
Montreal, August 28, 2006 – ProDrive Systems Inc. announced today the Regulatory License Approval from the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) for the ProDrive Upgrade Turbine – a patented high-performance turbine designed to be retrofitted into leading brand dental handpieces to improve cutting power and durability. The ProDrive System is expected to have a significant impact in a North American turbine/bur market valued at almost US$1.6Bn of annual sales. The ProDrive System is comprised of the ProDrive Upgrade Turbine and the ProDrive Bur. Traditional friction grip handpieces often slip when cutting hard materials, the innovative drive-lock design of the ProDrive System ensures the bur always turns in sync with the turbine, improving both the cutting power as well as the durability and reliability of dental handpieces. In addition, the ProDrive Upgrade Turbine is designed with superior quality components and includes a one-year performance warranty to ensure constant and reliable handpiece performance. Jean T.
