Regulatory license initiates phase-one of Product Trials beginning in June 2006
Montreal, May 29th, 2006 – ProDrive Systems Inc. (a TTi Turner Technology Instruments Inc. Company), announced today the Regulatory License Approval from Health Canada for the ProDrive Systems Upgrade Turbine – a patented replacement turbine retrofitted into leading brand dental handpieces that improves cutting power and durability. The ProDrive products are expected to have a significant impact in a North American Turbine/Bur Market valued at almost US$1.6Bn of annual sales. There are two components of the ProDrive System: the Upgrade Turbine and the Bur. The new ProDrive System is guaranteed never to slip. The innovative drive-lock design ensures the bur always turns in-sync with the turbine, therefore improving cutting torque, unlike traditional friction grip handpieces that often slip when cutting hard materials. In addition, the ProDrive Upgrade Turbine is designed with superior quality components and includes a 2-year performance warranty to ensure constant and reliable handpiece performance. Jean T. Meisinger, located in Germany, is a world leading bur brand company with over 115 years of design, manufacturing and commercial experience in the dental industry.” ProDrive expects FDA 510K regulatory certification in the next 30 days, which will mark the beginning of American ProDrive product trials with an expected participation of 700 additional dentists.
