Dr Derek M. J. Turner
Inventor & Founder of ProDrive Systems

Dr. Turner is an Ottawa dentist with over 35 years experience in private practice. He pioneered multi-dentist group practice and management in Canada, and was also a forerunner in the use of computers in dental practices in 1979. In the 1980s, while maintaining a busy dental practice, Dr. Turner cooperatively built and managed 13 dental offices in Ottawa. A leader in CAD/CAM restorations, Dr. Turner showcases his expertise through his participation in various speaking engagements. In 2002, he conceived of the patented drive system for air-driven dental handpieces and maintains an active role in the company he founded.
Dr. Turner received his BSc from the University of Ottawa in 1968, and his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Toronto in 1972.
